Day 01:Meet and transfer to hotel
Day 02:Breakfast, then proceed to Wat Prathat Doi Suthep is the most important and famous temple in Chiang Mai. The tour begins with a pleasant wildly driving up 3,500 feet above sea level to the sacred temple of Doi Suthep. You then ascend up the 306 steps to the temple gateway which guarded by two splendid Nagas (serpents). Walk around the grounds of Doi Suthep past golden pillars, six foot gongs and rows of bells. A five tiered parasols made of gold sat on display in the inner courtyard. Wat Prathat Doi Suthep was built in 1383, is the symbol of Chiang Mai. It is the most sacred temple in the city and contains the holy relic of the Lord Buddha which is enshrined in the magnificent golden pagoda that can be seen for miles around. A panoramic view of the city and the surrounding countryside can be seen from the temple grounds. Afternoon,half day city temple tour and boat ride,Visit and explore revered temples in Chiang Mai. Leave from the hotel to visit four revered temples in Chiang Mai. All was constructed during the Lanna period. In the West of the city lies Wat Suan Dok built by King Kuena, the large white pagoda and small stupas contain the ashes of the Lanna Kings as well as the royalty. Then, Wat Phra Singhfirst built during the reign of Phra Chao Kham Fu (1328-1335). The temple’s compound includes the Lai Kam Chapel. Lying smack in the heart of the city (almost right in the middle of the square-walled city) is Wat Chedi Luang, the temple of a huge pagoda built King Saen Muang Ma in 1401. Originally it was 90 meters high; it is now a mere 40 meters as the result of an earthqke in 1545. A small building near the main entrance encloses the “Sao Intakin” (the city’s pillar) Drive around the old city to explore the moat surrounding and the ruins of the city wall gates. Then visit the largest local market, Worarot Market, alive with its daily hustle and bustle. Exotic fresh fruits, preserved food, local delicacies, clothes galore, flowers and other knick knacks, all at reasonable prices. Shortly walk across an iron bridge from the market crossing over the river for a Scorpion Tailed Boat Trip upstream the River Ping to enjoy beautiful scenery and local life along the riverside. Take a little break at Baan Din, an earthen house for a soft drink and desert before taking a boat back to pier. Transfer back to the hotel.
Day 03: Breakfast, free for own leisure until transfer to airport for departure.
